We consistently seek to ‘be the church’ wherever we find ourselves.” ![]() And we try to live our lives in a way that carries the hope of Christ out into the world through our everyday living. In referring to her close-knit family, she states, “We don’t take ourselves too seriously … we do take the Gospel seriously. Hope and her husband, Sung Lee, have three children: Anna, Peter, and Maria. “Her engaging, open style both in preaching and interacting with people of all backgrounds was what inspired our call for her to be our next Lead Pastor.” “We are so excited to welcome a pastoral leader of Hope’s caliber to Vienna Presbyterian Church,” said the Co-Chairs of the Pastor Nominating Committee, John Hall and Yvonne Malloy. In all of Hope’s work, she demonstrates a strong belief that the people of the church are the face of Christ to the neighborhood and that God has already equipped us with all that we need to live out His mission and vision for the people right where we live and then to the world. Hope holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary as well as a Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary. She is anchored by a deep love of Jesus and is a nationally recognized preacher. Most recently she was the Lead Pastor at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in Bradenton, Florida. Forced into a virtual environment last year due to COVID, a Vienna favorite the Church Street Holiday Stroll returns on Monday, Nov. (Shutterstock) VIENNA, VA Vienna will ring in the holiday season as. We meet with local churches to discuss racial reconciliation and how the races can come together in unity. We come from all walks of life and over 100 nationalities. The Church Street Holiday Stroll in Vienna will be virtual on Monday, Nov. The teens love to raise money and give food and clothing to the local immigrants. We send missionaries to Cuba and Haiti and help people to learn skills and rebuild their communities. We welcome the homeless and give them shelter during the winter. They give a lot to the local community and in poor countries. They make me feel welcome and give me much love. I am an African-American woman and my church is predominantly white. I am a widow and the men of my church enjoy cleaning my yard and cutting my grass at no charge. They helped me a couple of times with paying my mortgage. Five years ago, when I was unemployed and almost lost my home, I attended their job support group and was hired by them part-time as a childcare provider.
